ABOUT US

Welcome to our Research Unit on Complex Networks (Networks Unit), of the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences (SMFI) of the University of Parma.

We are an interdisciplinary research group that explores the structure and evolution of complex systems, both real and artificial, in search of their common laws of organization.

The Research Unit on Complex Networks carries out both theoretical and simulative research, using a large network of national and international collaborators.

Our unit investigates the origins and evolution of complex systems and the boundaries of this complexity, using a highly interdisciplinary approach, with methods drawn from the theory of networks, statistical physics, computer science, sociology and biology.
